Can you tell us the story of SDWars?
22:12
So I think we talked a lot about how incumbent OEMs can compete in the new age of automotive, if you will, right? And so the idea for SDWars originated at General Motors, right? I mean, the recognition, the belief was that and still is that software and AI is going to play a larger role in the industry and if software is going to be important you know you either can do software all by yourself or work with partners right but the the way to work with partners there wasn't a supply chain for software.
22:49
So you have a hardware supply chain that's existed for many, many years and down to every cent you can calculate the cost of a part.
22:58
But where are you going to find software? That space is evolving quite rapidly.
23:03
And so if software is going to get decoupled from hardware, where and how is the best way to find suppliers, work with them, that capability did not exist.
23:13
So there was a lot of work done.
23:14
Should we advocate for more standards? Should we do more white papers? Should we move the industry forward together? And ultimately, after doing a lot of work, it was recognized that it's an industry problem.

I wonder, though, how much of the industry push to increase development timelines is also driven by competition from China?
14:27
100%, right? Sorry.
14:29
Please go ahead.
14:30
This is a very topic I'm very excited about.
14:32
So I jumped in.
14:32
I didn't mean to.
14:33
I'm sorry.

So how are you thinking about those two things and the vehicle ownership cycle with SDVs and with accelerated development timelines?
