How is the company dealing with this period?
3:43
Indeed, we see, uh, more and more, uh, uncertainty and constraint hitting, uh, our, uh, businesses.
3:50
And, and I think what is very important is to be, uh, close to your customers and to control your, uh, upstream value chains.
4:00
And this is really what at Solvay we've been trying to do forever, I would say, since, uh, 1863, as you said, uh, when, when we started, uh, the company.
4:12
Uh, we implemented our sites where the raw material and the energy were available to deliver a local market.
4:20
So still today, we have eighty percent, uh, more than eighty percent, in fact, uh, of our sales that are done regionally, and I think that's very important to be, to be close to the market, close to your customers.
4:33
Then, of course, over the years, uh, you know, the, the, the coal mines have shut down in Europe, and so we have to buy on the global markets, and, uh, and that has been the case for the past, uh, three, four decades.
7:23
Can European industry compete with the world's two biggest economies like it did in years past? And what is needed to make that happen?
