Can you tell us just a bit about your background and kind of your path into the hospitality world?

Yeah, for sure.

So I grew up in Georgia in the Southeast and then went to school in Oregon.

And when I graduated, I took my first job here in Southern California about almost 20 years ago and never looked back after that.

My career started in the investment side of things.

So I was in real estate, private equity, and then transitioned into venture capital.

And, um, at the venture capital fund, we mostly, um, backed young startups primarily in the real estate and hospitality space.

What are some of the decisions? What are some things that kind of stand out from just, you know, threading that needle?
