Um, but as I look back on my, on my childhood, it was beautiful and I had a great childhood, but I know looking back when I was a kid, I was very scared a lot.

Um, when I was three and a half or four, um, there was an experience with my mom where I was pushed down the stairs and my collarbone broke.

Uh, back in Pennsylvania when we were in high school, me and a buddy used to do, like, winter backpacking trips, and we also used to think we were, like, badass, like, Army Ranger guys that could do whatever the fuck.

And yeah, it started snowing, lost our trail, like negative temperatures.

Completely couldn't follow our compasses.

Completely lost in the woods.

Um, so basically the, the menu is gonna be strictly what you're serving right now, or are you gonna, are you gonna add to it? What, what's your, what are your thoughts?

Well, I mean, um, uh, so the Gene's Burger and the Salchi Dogo brand will continue as Gene's and Salchi Dogo being served by Cheeky Lounge.

So yes, we'll have our, all of the burgers that people love, uh, the dogo that we have, um, our really delicious flavored fries that I think people really love.

Um, we'll have our coleslaw and our, um, vegan coleslaw that has like an Asian-inspired dressing on it.

And we will have our huasitos, which are the little sopapilla type desserts.

Um, is there anything else, is there anything else that we wanted to add, that you wanted to talk about?

Well, yeah, I mean, one, one of the, the things we wanted to be very aware of and to make people feel comfortable is, um, I received a, a, a text from a, a customer saying, "Also, I'm excited about the move.

Is this gonna be in a gay bar?" And I said, "You know what? It's, it's a bar in the Zona Romántica.

Okay.

So, uh, it was a family business.

Um, I took it on about 25 years ago.

Um, and we developed it.

Is that all okay?

Um, yeah, I took it on and developed it ever since, and we do promotional displays with Back For.

Um, all the display systems around, around the wall here.

Knew, uh, I'd spent, uh, over 20 years in the fire department.

I, these sort of things happen in this area, again, because of all the military bases, so I knew what needed to be done.

So I called, called it in.

Um, I think you'd be very good at that.

And all I'm saying is I haven't voted, 55, and last year I vote, voted for the first time.

Basically, Labor, Conservative, have got no competence at all in any of them, and I think that Nigel Farage is the best of a bunch.

[laughs] I think I trust him more than the others.

And is that where, why you feel so let down by successive governments? Is it because you're paying so much in bills because-

Massively.

My council tax has gone up.

But dogs always want to come up close.

I don't separate humans from animals.
