And I began by asking him when he joined the project.

Oh, I was involved from the very, very beginning.

I had joined Hyperbole Studios as a designer.

I had come from the film business.

And you have to remember, in the late 80s, early 90s, mid-90s, Seattle... you know, the gaming industry was just formulating.

And I was in the film industry, actually.

And I kind of said, okay, this is kind of coming up, happening now.

I'm really interested in when and how you made that transition to academia and how you took your industry experience into education and academic work.
