How important was that, having that spine of UAE players back again, particularly Kuzaimah, who was such a star, of course, last season?
2:55
Yeah, indeed.
2:55
We built a relationship with, with these players and, and vice versa.
2:59
I think they've enjoyed being part of the, the Viper story today.
3:02
Having Richa, uh, leading the development tournament team, taking them to the final last week was, um, I think reflective of how committed he is to, to the Vipers and how supportive he is as a team man around the, around the group in every way, as well as what he brings with the bat, behind the stumps, and in the field.
3:19
And yeah, Kuzaimah similarly.
3:21
You know, this is the third season we will have with him.
3:59
And Phil, uh, how much did you have to factor into possible, uh, international call-ups in the bidding process? It's not just the UAE who could be involved in international action during the tournament, is it?
4:01
Is it pride at how you and your colleagues managed to construct a competitive team in the face of, let's face it, fairly significant challenges, or perhaps frustration at the ultimate failure, especially as victory against the Guyana Amazon Warriors, the eventual champions in the league stage, would have taken you through to the final? So what is your feeling looking back on the tournament now?
4:25
Hi, Brian.
4:26
Good to see you again.
4:27
Nice to be back.
4:28
Yeah, a mixture of feelings.
4:29
I think it always is at the end of a tournament, but you, you mentioned pride, and I, I think that is something that we can reflect back on this tournament with.
4:38
We learned a lot, which was obviously one of the goals, um, when we went into, uh, GSL to try and, you know, learn some things ahead of season five or ILT20.

Did you find that a success? Did you find a receptive audience for all those messages in Guyana?
