I am indeed.

Um, yes, all of those sorts of things.

So I'm kind of, um, I'm getting close to 40 years since I first started building.

Um, and you know, really i- in hindsight, appreciative of the fact that my first boss, Tom Boca, who was a, a Dutch guy, and my family's Dutch as well, had a, a real, that sort of Dutch European sensibility around, um, carpentry as a craft.

Um, and he had a, a really, very inquisitive, very inquiring...

Uh, we did a broad range of jobs, so we weren't just doing the carpentry.

is one of those characters that it's hard to dislike him despite the sort of foot and mouth type things that he does do from time to time.

There's a couple of things.

Part of me is also...

this sort of celebrity-ization of politics.

It's been interesting to see the amount of response, for example, to his entry into politics with ACT versus Michael Law's sort of rising from the dead and going and joining New Zealand First.

Nowhere near the traction, so to your point, great get for ACT.

Who's your team?

So as a first home buyer or an early stage homeowner, what do I do as far as improving the value of my property? Where do I start?

I find it really fascinating at the moment.

And actually, just recently, I've been working with a young fellow that works with me and been to see some houses with them.

They need a bit of work.

They might need a new kitchen.

They might need a new bathroom.

They could repaint, re-carpet, da-da-da-da-da.

How do you start learning how to do all of these things to houses?
