Senator, what makes an effective floor leader and are there any early contenders for your successor?

So I think there's a number of different things that go into being floor leader.

One of the most important is you've got to be incredibly strategic.

Basically, every day in the leader's office, we determined what committees bills are going to get referred to.

And after the day, we put together the floor calendar for the following day.

And it's a lot of discretion.

and trying to do that in a way that's fair, that's respectful to the process, that finds the right balance is kind of the day-to-day strategic pieces, but also the leader and the speaker and the governor meet regularly to discuss kind of the overall session, what's moving, what issues are there, and kind of figuring out the picture in that framework.

Which would you say is, or which would you count as your biggest accomplishment or achievement?
