So Pete, tell us a little about yourself and, you know, in your view, what makes IQM special?
1:55
Yeah, thanks, Michael.
1:56
So my name is Peter Ord.
1:58
I've been on Wall Street 30 years.
2:00
I started the first dozen years were at Goldman Sachs.
2:04
But more recently, I'm an active SPAC sponsor, and I'm also a partner at a venture capital firm called Cambium Capital.
2:12
Cambium is very narrowly focused on advanced computing, including quantum.

7:16
And Pete, you touched on it a little bit, but why is IQM a great investment opportunity for your SPAC?
2:34
What put IQM on a real assets radar and how did it move to the top of your list as you were searching for a partner company?
2:40
Yeah, thanks, Nick.
2:41
So in addition to being the principal executive officer of the RAC SPAC, I'm a partner at Cambium Capital Management, which is an early stage venture firm that launched in 2018.
2:52
And we have a very narrow focus at Cambium, which is we only invest in companies focused on advanced computing.
2:59
And that includes quantum.
3:00
So we've invested in quantum companies since the inception of Cambium.
3:04
and several of my partners are longtime investors and operators within the quantum ecosystem well prior to Cambium launching.

And Peter, given all the movement we've seen among the listed comps in the quantum computing space, as Jan was just pointing out there, how did you come to evaluation on IQM and what were some of the metrics that you found particularly instructive in how you put a price on this opportunity?
29:48
[laughs]
29:49
Well, I think too then, you know, when we think about culture, um, it, it, you know, it is a dynamic thing, but we need to be talking about it with every employee.
29:59
And one of my favorite stories was, uh, when JFK in the early '60s went to tour the NASA facility, and he walks up on this older fella there, a gentleman.
30:09
And again, I don't know if this story's true or if it's been, you know...
30:12
But I do like the, uh, the idea behind it.
30:15
But he asked this gentleman, you know, "What do you do here?" And the guy's kind of standing there with a broom.
30:20
It looked kind of obvious, but he said, "I'm helping to send a man to the moon."And the idea that NASA, and again, I think that story's been collaborated, but NASA had such a, um, grasp on that idea, that culture, that every single person, uh, embodied that, including the custodial staff, that their job directly linked to sending a man to the moon.

There you go.
