We're living together." Can you touch a bit on that, on that data of what it is, the success rates of, of, uh, a married couple compared to those that are, you know, raising a family and are not married, uh?

Yeah.

[clears throat] You know, as I said earlier, marriage is the gold s- uh, kinda standard for sticking together, and we see that in the data.

We've seen on the Canadian data that, um, that couples that start out living together and have kids in particular before getting married or without marriage altogether are much more prone to, to see, uh, a, a relationship breakdown and dissolution, and that has, uh, impacts on, on children.

And we certainly see good outcomes for, for children that grow up in a par- a married parent family, uh, tend to have higher levels of educational attainment, uh, less likelihood to be involved in risk behavior.

And we find this even despite, like, regardless of, of socioeconomic status, um, m- marriage, uh, just certainly has a good outcome for, for children.

Um, yeah, I, I, I think there's kinda this notion that marriage is just a piece of paper and we don't really need it.
