think quiescent IBD can cause gut symptoms it doesn't make sense to me I was trying to think around the question but I don't think it can so in that post colonoscopy phase well clearly it doesn't fit the definition of IBS because that's a long-term thing once a week going on for months etc etc and this is what I mean about the term IBS is used in many different ways and But is it possible that bowel preparation has caused some post-colonoscopy symptoms? I actually often get asked if biopsies from the colon cause post-colonoscopy symptoms.

And that I think I can, with almost complete confidence, say, no, I don't believe that's doing anything.

And I say almost complete confidence because we never 100% know anything is the reality.

But biopsies, I don't really think do anything bad.

But bowel prep clearly does have an effect on the microbiome, and that's measurable.

But it is generally transient.

So tell us about that and if your IBD patients who are in remission have found any benefit in trialing it.
