You can have that one if you'd like.

jump kicks uh but this one and i don't believe it's in the other ones you collect uh what they call eldritch orbs which are these like glowing circles and if rick gets enough of them you can do a power move and he'll hulk out like a super beast and his like little jumpsuit rips off and the mask like takes over his whole head and he's got like super moves he's super strong um It's very cool to do it, and once you are like Monster Rick, that orb meter starts to go down, so you need to collect more orbs.

You're on a timer, and you have to navigate around the floors of the mansion to best get to the exit fast.

Peter GraphicGUEST
So you can take the fastest route, but you may miss weapons or better items or more health.

But Die Hard Arcade was created by Makoto Uchida? He did better than I would.

Peter GraphicGUEST
But he created Golden Axe and Altered Beast, and he kind of felt like the belt-scrolling brawler had gotten a little stale and wanted to use 3D graphics to elevate the slower parts, like when you walk into a next area and kind of integrate animated cutscenes.

Peter GraphicGUEST
The new technology at the time made this type of brawler like an action movie.

Peter GraphicGUEST
which he was fond of, and he wanted to appeal to an American market, like I said.

Peter GraphicGUEST
Since he already loved Die Hard and the game was very similar to the film, Uchida reached out to 20th Century Fox to obtain the rights.
