Um, listen, the last 75 days have, you know, changed so much, and the whole security market and the problem set is getting redefined around Mythos and agentic security.
0:56
And, you know, Mythos really announced to the world that the frontier models are now good enough to do the things we've been afraid they were going to do for a long time, which is to penetrate all of our defenses and penetrate applications.
1:08
And, you know, the world we have built to date is one for human speed, and whether that's policy or a reaction or, or what have you, and it all needs to get rebuilt for, for this machine speed.
1:18
And, and so we've been talking to customers about that a lot, how to get ready for that.
1:22
I think that the, the thing that is coming first, the first wave is vulnerabilities.
1:27
The perimeter has to be patched.

15 MINS LATER

16:52
Explain that a little bit, and talk to us about what you've built on agent security because you just launched something at Cisco Live on agent security.
3:59
Here's what surprised me about Cisco, both on the positive as well as on the negative.
4:04
Yeah.
4:06
So let me kind of touch the product evolution.
4:09
And so, you know, the traditional on-ramps we talk about are firewall, right, are zero trust, our identity, right, and network detection and response and email security.
4:20
And, you know, we spent the last year plus really dialing in on what we think we can be the best in the world at where we can lead.
4:27
Right.
4:28
And really have focused in on network security, focused in on zero trust, and obviously identity is a substrate, and I'll come back to that.

18 MINS LATER

22:16
everyone's asking about mythos.
37:35
Hmm.
37:36
And it's continually in your face, "I'm not enough." But what if we completely flip that narrative and said, um, Richard Leider, who wrote my forward, is an amazing, uh, author and educator around purpose, and he calls...
37:50
He says, "We are an experiment of one." What if we said to that graduating class, "You are an experiment of one.
37:58
There's 4,000 of you, unique individuals, so don't compare.
38:03
Go be your best Kevin you could be.
38:05
Go be the best Peter you could be." And if we, and if we grew people like that and sent them off, what changes would that be for their potential or opportunities that they basically come their way? They don't have to be the lawyer, banker, doctor, you know? You know, AI specialist.
38:27
That they could come up with, what, what passions do you have? Joseph Campbell says, "Follow your bliss." And I think that becomes a hindsight thing later on when we realize, "Oh, I'm not living my bliss.
42:09
Uh, but it was you, you chose that perspective and that meaning, and you can take ownership and hold that, have compassion, but kinda deconstruct it as well.
6:52
So why don't you paint the picture of who Peter was before this main pivotal moment that we're going to kind of center today around?
7:00
Yeah, well, you know, I said I came from New York and I'll start off by saying many people have had a much harder life than I have had.
7:08
But I just wrote this book, The Epic of You, because I wanted to retell my story.
7:14
What happened to me as a young person, I was my dad was a Navy pilot.
7:18
My mother was a nurse and I was born into the family after my dad had a brain hemorrhage.
7:25
He had just come home from working and flying planes off aircraft carriers.
7:30
And I was born into a family where I just felt the tensions of something's wrong.

12 MINS LATER

19:14
Was it the right point in your life in which it came about? Do you think?
