First of all, over the course of her life, her opinions changed drastically.

She was a young socialist and then became practically someone who defined modern American libertarianism, but also emotionally.

She was a very emotional woman.

It's something that she has in common with John Adams, our second president, in that people really get the impression that he was a hothead.

And he wasn't.

I hope you don't mind me saying so, but her mother, Laura Ingalls Wilder, comes off as quite unlikable.
