What's your assessment of Pam Bondi's time, and how do you think Todd Blanche will do now that he made it through confirmation 52-46 after he spent several months as acting attorney general waiting to be confirmed? And how does it compare to Biden, Trump one, Obama one and two under Eric Holder, the Black Panther who put Seattle in the dis- consent decree, uh, that he first weaponized the DOJ?
10:06
Yeah, I mean, you know, I think, uh, Attorney General Bondi, you know, part of her issue is she was largely not, if not entirely, waylaid by the Epstein files, and maybe that was fairly so, and maybe that was unfairly so.
10:20
Um, you know, the mission priorities were still churning, to your point, slowly, and, you know, she gets handed this bag of mass resig- resignations, DRP, the, the layoffs, um, and the d- d- those who wanted to retire early, and then she's kind of handled or handed this bag of the Epstein files that becomes mass media.
10:41
And so I, I think unfortunately for Bondi, she wasn't probably able to achieve as much as she wanted to.
10:48
Um, and, and with that, you know, I think people are gonna look back on her time.
10:52
But I think if nothing else, she served as a great stopgap.
10:55
To your point, we didn't have an Eric Holder.
13:49
Yeah
8:06
So what is the practical effect for agents investigating crimes of not being able to have these plates?
8:13
Yeah, I appreciate that question, 'cause I was, I was scrolling through your posts and there were a handful of comments and folks like, "Just get an out-of-state license plate.
8:21
Just, you know, let them expire." The problem is when you're surveilling someone, you know, sometimes multiple days on end or, or with intermittent breaks, um, what you don't...
8:31
You would notice if a car from Montana, Idaho, California, pick whatever state that's not Washington, or it had expired tabs.
8:40
You might even call the police and say, "Hey, some weirdo is sitting in a car outside of my house," or, you know, and, and they're surveilling your neighbor 'cause you and I are good people.
8:50
Um, but uh, you know, some weirdo's sitting outside of my house with expired tabs or from Montana.
8:58
That's the practical implication.
12:47
Hmm.
8:45
Because he didn't support the initiative, and neither did Nick Brown.
8:49
Yeah, he was very clear that he did not support it.
8:52
And obviously Chris Reichdahl's gone off a handful of times about the impact of these limited youth.
9:00
And so we saw what's, and we're granted what's called intervention status on behalf of Project 42, Jim Walsh, Informed Choice of Washington, One Washington, meaning these groups wanted us to co-defend 2081 and its subsequent law.
9:16
with the state of Washington.
9:17
Again, because we weren't sure based on those public, very public statements, I think it was a press release and an op-ed or some sort of a video that Bob Ferguson did saying he wasn't in support of it.
9:30
And so, I will give the state again credit where it's due.
12:35
There are two bills, matching bills, one going through the House, one going through the Senate, where they want to basically take a lot of the key provisions out when it comes to notifying parents of medical issues their kids are having, gender dysphoria, mental health issues, etc., So that would be a different fight for a different day, right?
