Wait, this is real?
6:27
Yes, they were trying to garner support for, um- For the building of the stadium, and Lester Bagley, it was...
6:34
There was a, a, a, you know, one of those big, I don't know, whatever, city council meetings or whatever.
6:38
Sure.
6:39
And Ben Lieber, me, and I can't remember who else it was, but just jumped on the old Falcon and flew out [laughs] to Fergus Falls and flew back.
6:46
It took, like, 10 minutes.
6:48
Yeah, I would, I would assume- Something that would normally take a two-and-a-half-hour drive, it was like zip, zip.

21:06
Ugh.
21:36
What are the Vikings going to do at quarterback? Our buddy Pete Bursich is going to join us and tell us what he thinks of this matchup.
21:41
What you have to do is be physical and be able to tackle.
21:45
A cornerback or a safety that can cover, like Fred Smoot, right? Two-thirds of the earth is covered by water.
21:51
The rest is covered by me.
22:22
Is it Providence Catholic's Pete Bursich? Is it Hinsdale's Pete Bursich? Who
22:27
are you? At the time, I was coaching, and it was interesting because it was probably a couple days later, and all of a sudden, the phone started ringing.
22:33
Cell phone.
22:34
Right.
2:09
What you have to do is
2:10
be physical and be able to tackle.
2:13
A cornerback or a safety that can cover like Fred Smoot, right? Two-thirds of the earth is covered by water.
2:18
The rest is covered by me.
2:48
Look, is it Providence Catholic's Pete Bursich? Is it Hinsdale's Pete Bursich? Who are you?
2:55
At the time, I was coaching, and it was interesting because it was probably a couple days later, and all of a sudden, the phone started ringing.
3:01
Cell phone.
3:02
Right.
55:50
Do you have any feel for what he's going to do?
55:52
No, I mean, here's the thing.
55:54
First thing, one thing for sure, you're going to have to stop the run, right? Because if you don't stop the run, you're not going to see anything else but that.
55:59
And you guys witnessed that in week one.
56:03
DeAndre Swift and Menungai, two very – tackling is going to be huge for the Vikings because – First of all, it's going to be a lot harder to tackle these running backs than the crew that we saw from Green Bay a week ago.
56:16
The other part of it is when you're pressuring and doing things up front, you leave your defensive backs on islands, right? You miss one tackler trying to make a play, and Christian Watson, boom, he's gone.
56:27
So there's risk and reward in all that.
59:06
Did they do a good job of drafting people that they knew could be hybrids? Or is Brian Flores just really good at understanding how to take the personnel and molding it to what he wants?
8:50
That's why I asked you that question of, as a linebackers coach, what's going through your mind? Because it feels like such a complex puzzle to try to solve.
8:59
Yeah.
9:01
Carolina didn't do themselves any favors by not covering up the center.
9:06
If you watch the fronts that they played, they never had anybody heavy on Garrett Bradbury.
9:13
The nose tackle was always kind of in the B.
9:17
And when you do that, you're absolutely playing into his strength, right? um we like we know Brad Bear we know what he is he's athletic he's hard working he gets to the second level he's smart you need to put a 320 pounder right in his kitchen and just wear him out physically because that's the one you know that's the one thing he's only 305 pounds so that's kind of the one thing that's um that um you could take advantage of right so Joe Tooney, one of the best guards in the league, is right next to him.
9:49
So when you can let Tooney make that base block and then have Garrett Bradbury be the guy that swings over, that's pretty effective.

Yeah.
