So when we go from calves, from, from hutches to maybe the, I like to call it the toddler room, the, the group housing where you start to integrate them, do we see an impa- impact and an increase in possibilities like BRD because they're now commingling a little bit more?
3:18
You nailed it.
3:19
Yes.
3:19
Any, anytime we commingle cattle, anytime we bring groups of calves together, that risk for respiratory disease increases because you're getting exposed, right, to multiple animals.
3:30
And so certainly, I would say that, um, for risk for BRD in the dairy operation, when they go from hutch to group housing, that is a very large risk for BRD.
3:40
So anything we can do to have them prepared for that, so eating feed, um, eating starter feed and already knowing how to do that and drinking water and things by themselves will help the, prepare them when they go into the group pens.

What are some things that you guys are encouraging our dairy producers to remember?
4:56
Yeah, so when it comes to New World screw worm, um, it's really important to know what your rules are in your state for, for movements and things like that.
