For someone hearing the phrase for the first time, what exactly is it? Who is it for? What kind of people tend to come, and why?
2:44
It really emanates from about fifteen years ago when I started figuring out now what for myself.
2:51
Kids going off to college, getting older, what I was doing professionally, I didn't wanna keep doing anymore, and it was really like, okay, so what is my future going to look like? And briefly, back in nineteen eighty-nine when I left television news, all I thought about was what can I succeed at and earn a living at.
3:11
And I realized it was a monumental mistake because that's all I thought about, and I wasn't going to do that again.
3:18
And so without going into detail now, I said, "I gotta step back and not try to answer it, but almost do an update both internally and externally of what do I want my life to be like?" In other words, design, customize my future for myself in all parts of my life, not just a couple of things.
3:40
So I started with awareness, internal awareness of like, what do I really want and need, and what does it look like? And then I did the external awareness, which was, okay, what are other people who are my age or older doing? And almost everything I learned was the complete opposite of what I expected.
3:58
You know, retirement is bliss.

Do you think the word, you know, longevity that's been thrown around a lot, do you think that sometimes we feel that the world has become very sophisticated about the body and not sophisticated enough about identity, direction, and meaning of longevity?
