97:29
Paul, how you doing?
97:31
Man, doing good this morning.
97:32
I was in the car and heard our climate czar, and I always enjoy listening to him, particularly on the facts.
97:41
Just give me the facts.
97:42
Give me the climate facts.
97:44
And unfortunately, the argument yesterday was not about the facts not in a bad sense or a good sense they it was who's going to get to decide the facts and that's really um who's going to get to decide whether it's an emission that plants like carbon dioxide or who's going to decide that uh carbon dioxide changed climate and it's a question of What we would call in the legal area federalism.
98:17
Is it going to be a state claim or is it a federal claim? Is it a federal preemption? So it was an interesting discussion because they were talking about emissions and pollution as analogies to what do we do with.
100:22
I wanted to add that on the lawsuits and the coastal lawsuits.
8:55
Paul, thank you for being with us today, sir.
8:57
Chris, that's awfully nice.
8:58
I'm glad to be here.
8:59
We've been doing this attempt to basically eliminate racial preferences in elections where we're allocating power based on arbitrary racial designations instead of an honest... voter universe that would elect its representatives.
9:24
And we have made great progress, and Calais may be a cherry on top of our ultimate colorblind society being implemented by the U.S. Supreme Court.
9:36
And I'm glad to have participated in that.
9:40
I actually, I do believe I won the first racial gerrymandering case in the United States on the merits in 1995.

16:49
But Calais, it seems to me, provides the shield and the weaponry to finally throw out a 30-year federal mandate.
11:34
What does the Calais decision allow regarding the curing of these judicial districts throughout the state of Louisiana that are clearly racially gerrymandered? Can they be challenged? Will they be challenged? And what will happen in these judge districts throughout the state?
11:54
Those that have been drawn, and every judicial district does not have them, but for those judicial districts that have the intentional creation of minority sub-districts, they're unconstitutional.
12:08
It is awaiting legislative correction.
12:14
Now remember, our benevolent governor... was so kind to change our districts when he thought the federal judge in Baton Rouge told him they were wrong.
12:27
And so he created a racial gerrymander.
12:30
It took us two years to set it aside.
12:33
Perhaps he'll realize that if he doesn't fix this, it's clearly no longer a valid election structure.

11 MINS LATER

23:23
Yeah.
8:42
Paul, it's always a pleasure to have you with us.
8:45
Look, it's great to be here.
8:46
I'm thinking as far as how to have a tranquil sleep.
8:52
We both need to actually be tranquil.
8:56
But if it's not, we need...
8:58
Part of our advocacy is to get to a moment of tranquility that's real, not self-imposed, but existing in the world.
9:09
And so some of my litigation, some of my part of my life has always been...
