Can you tell me about that? What the development was like for that or getting partnered with for that show? Or sorry, that film, that feature?
17:37
Yeah, so originally the Black 22s, this was a few years ago, we sold it as a pitch for a TV series, and there was a big bidding war.

It was on the cover of the trades.

We had David Oyelowo attached to executive produce and star in it, and it was born out of, I lived in St. Louis at the time, and once a month I would have lunch with this old veteran journalist reporter guy, like straight out of central casting like you know the pork pie hat with the press card in it like he was just old school and he was like in his 80s and we would just have lunch and I would just listen to his stories and he'd drink his martinis you know and I'd have to help him home after you know and one day we're having our lunch and you know he was always you know slamming me about Hollywood and how stupid it is and one day he just goes how come no one's ever made a movie about Ira Cooper And I said, I have no idea who that is.
18:35
And he said, Ira Cooper was the Jackie Robinson of policemen.
18:41
And you should make a movie about him.
18:43
And I had no idea who he was talking about.
