There's beauty in unraveling Safety in the questioning Home is where you're wandering You're right where you're supposed to be You're right where you're supposed to be

Paul DreesGUEST
What about unborn life? What about born life? What? You say unborn life and how we should treat it with sanctity, but you ignore that very life once it makes demands of you.

Paul DreesGUEST
If the unborn life is so valuable, why is that cost being exclusively fronted by the parents? That was costly responsibility of the parent, not the state.

Paul DreesGUEST
Why don't we provide free healthcare for every child? There are some programs in place.

Paul DreesGUEST
Yeah, but the way y'all talk about unborn life makes it sound like you actually care about children.

Paul DreesGUEST
If you cared about children, let's write the law where everybody under 18 gets free healthcare, a law that benefits everybody, regardless of their beliefs or status.

Alexis RiceHOST
So, um, I would like to ask about this for all three of you, because I do want people to hear from Christian pastors if there are other ways to view this.

Paul DreesGUEST
getting back to your question, Alexis, right? About like, what's the point of all of this? Mark 10 is a chapter that Lutens will point to because there's other passages where Jesus says stuff that doesn't very well align with our theology, but Mark 10 aligns particularly well with our theology.

Paul DreesGUEST
The rich man says, good teacher, what must I do to inherit life? And then there's this entry Trinitarian segment, which we're going to skip over.

Paul DreesGUEST
And Jesus is like, well, you just follow the commandments, you know, and all that stuff.

Paul DreesGUEST
And then Jesus looked at him, loved him and said, you lack one thing, go sell what you own and give the money to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven.

Alexis RiceHOST
Can you... talk about that a little bit and then can you also talk about like how people can reframe their orientation to but everything's written by God in the Bible so like how can you just say it should be struck because we can't take any verses out of the Bible that's taking what God said out of the Bible
