... after graduation, so I'm not gonna do that.

But [laughs] um, I will roll it back to, uh, COVID lockdown, which is when I was approached to do a book.

Now, I have always [laughs] said no, always said no.

I think of myself more as, like, an in-person, you know, video clown, and I thought, "Oh, God, writing is..." First of all, writing is really hard, and I mean, just getting out the column every month is, like, very hard.

And I thought, "Oh, I don't know if I can translate my classes to words." So I've always said no.

But people have always asked, "Oh, would you ever write, you know, a Patty's Knitting Bag of Tricks and put all your tricks in a book?" So, um, you know, I, I, we had, like, 35 jobs canceled at the point that I got contacted by Sarah from David & Charles, and I ca- I still kept saying no, and then she, she kept, uh, [laughs] she kept saying yes to everything I asked until I thought, "Oh, God, I think I'm writing a book.

Great idea
