That could be dangerous health-wise with mosquitoes.
158:39
Yes, yes.
158:41
No air conditioning, no fans.
158:43
I mean, they, you know, it's really hard because we were down there one time and there was no electricity.
158:50
So you couldn't pump water to get water to the sink and to the toilet, stuff like that.
158:55
And thankfully my friends live right across the street from a park.
158:59
And they started picking up branches and leaves and built a little fire and they cooked a pot of stew over the fire in the park.

And I'm sure you're getting, and I want you to share any kind of success story because if all your efforts, all you send thousands of Bibles in Venezuela, if we just reach one person, it's all worth it.
1:08
Patrick, could you start by telling us a little bit about your career path and your research interests?
1:15
Thank you, Marty.
1:16
Yes, I'm a cardiovascular surgeon.
1:17
I'm currently working at the Amsterdam University Medical Center now for three years, and I trained in Leiden, uh, as a cardiovascular surgery surgeon.
1:26
Um, did my PhD there in, uh, heart failure surgery, non-transplant heart failure surgery.
1:31
So, um, from that perspective, from that experience, I got more and more interested in, uh, the treatment of, of heart failure, acute and, and chronic heart failure, and the use of mechanical circulatory support and the, the treatments of, of podi- post-cardiotomy shock.
1:46
So that's bit of the background how I came into this, uh, uh, developed this research line in which, uh, Ufuk is doing his, uh, his PhD.
