I guess, yeah, if you wanna give a, a high-level overview of some of the things that they went, what sort of things went wrong, and then what sort of things can we begin to think about in order to rebuild that trust or even build that trust that never was there in the first place?

So one of the things that is really important for, I think, both of us to think about in the work we do, what more academics need to think about, what the profession needs to think about, is trust in itself is not monolithic.

And oftentimes, I think we try to categorize it as such, as if we're gonna just be able to solve it by addressing the misinformation problem, or addressing the politicization problem, or addressing polarization, or let's reduce costs and people will come back.

But what I've been able to learn is we have to think differently about the communities, and we have to change the ways in which we serve communities.

So the way I think about journalism is I think about it as a public service, which isn't new.

It's not unique that I think of it this way.

But the reason I think of it this way, and I think what makes the way I think of it unique, is I like to tell people that journalists are the second greatest educators in the world, next to teachers.
