I was asked by EGR, by Julian Rogers, top man, the top man there, to write an op-ed on anything I wanted to, which I thought was... incredibly dangerous request.

And I thought about it for a while and then said to him, look, actually, I do have some time to do it.

I've got some ideas.

I'm not really sure which one I'm going to go with.

But I think, you know, give me a bit of time to write about it and I'll think about it.

While I was writing these three different articles, which I wrote, I was reminded of something my dad said before he died, which he said, you know, you never vote for yourself, you must always vote for your country.

Mm.

Um, and I think one sort of has to really return to 30,000 feet and think about, you know, what really are the dynamics, um, at the general election.

Um, and, and, and what we've had, of course, is that a, you know, democratically elected British Prime Minister has been driven from office again, um, by a kind of relentless campaign of, what would we call it, propaganda, misinformation, and sort of general nonsense, as we know, sort of generally f- kind of funded and amplified and perpetuated by, you know, overseas billionaires, elites, whatever you wanna call them.

And, and their interests, of course, bear zero resemblance to those of ordinary working people.

But what happens is those, they're not gonna stop.

Um, and I think that, you know, that will continue, um, once we get sort of after the summer, um, you know, and we will start seeing all the nonsense, um, kind of attacks on Burnham.

And, you know, without kind of, you know, labeling or calling out any, uh, news media organization [laughs], one of them yesterday, a very famous right-wing one, was, you know, had the following headlines, which I thought was unbelievable for a guy who hadn't even taken power yet, which was, "How to protect your money from Andy Burnham, what you can do now."

Is that a back or a lay, do you think?
