writing it into the inward parts of our being.
4:55
Yeah, I think probably for me, there's an obvious one, which would be 2 Corinthians chapter 3.
5:01
In fact, really, you could look at the whole passage of 2 Corinthians 3 to see this incredible commentary that we're dealing with, where Paul the Apostle says to the members of the church living in Corinth, he says, you are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men and You think of the image of Baruch who's writing down the writings and the words of Jeremiah, his poetry and his prophecies and things and how the leaders of Jerusalem are destroying that and burning them.
5:26
And Baruch has to write another one.
5:27
And Jeremiah adds to the word of the Lord.
5:31
But instead, Paul talks about a time where the writings of the Lord are not on scrolls.
5:38
there it's written on hearts.

We welcome you to the show and give us a little bit of an overview of these two books, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, so we begin to know what we're talking about.
1:38
Scott and Maureen, I am, first of all, grateful to be here.
1:42
I love these books, absolutely have been transformed, committed many of these proverbs to memory, as many of you have.
1:50
I absolutely love them.
1:54
I do love the wisdom literature in the Old Testament, or as the Jews would say, the Tanakh, the Torah.
2:00
You also have the Nevi'im and the Ketuvim.
2:02
These are part of the Ketuvim, or the wisdom sayings, because it represents this collection of truths, maxims that have come together, what it means to live a whole and complete life as a community, as we would say as we walk along the covenant path.
