Can you talk a little bit about how you came to this work?
1:01
I came to this work through sort of various unpredictable route.
1:04
In my twenties, I was in the construction industry and, and very, very bored.
1:08
But it was in the early nineties, I volunteered for an environmental organization that investigated things like the illegal ivory trade, for example, because my passion, the growing passion on environmental issues.
1:19
And then there I met two other people, Charmian Gooch and Simon Taylor.
1:24
We were all volunteers initially at, at the Environmental Investigation Agency as it was called.
1:29
We got on, we spent time in the pubs of London swapping stories, and we were all by complete coincidence, very interested in what was happening in Cambodia at that time.
