So walk us through the at-bat where this, this rule was created.

I'll be honest, I was so locked in.

It was my first professional outing.

I was a 20th round senior sign.

Uh, and I kinda knew the realities of...

My performance was extremely important, because I didn't throw really hard from either side.

I knew that the only way I was gonna be able to continue playing pro ball, uh, was with good results, so I was so just dialed into the moment.

That next pitch seems to be a little bit harder.

But it, you know, i- unfortunately, and I, I think a lot of these guys are the same way, you can, you can talk about it all you want.

Like, "Hey, oh, just, just forget about it.

Just forget about it." But the reality of the situation is when you're at the Major League level, if you come, you know, if you come into a game and you're the reason, you know, the Blue Jays lose that night-I wasn't sleeping.

Like, there, there was no chance I was getting any sleep that night, and it, it was...

There was just no way around it.

Yeah, yeah

Um, it was never something I was able to get over my whole career.

Yeah
