How have you been different in your approach to social license to operate?

Yeah, so I, I mean, I think everyone in the industry, you know, over the years has improved in stakeholder engagement and community relations, and we are certainly better as an industry at that than, than when I started over 30 years ago.

I, I think the, the step we still need to take, you know, more consistently is how proactive we are when we do it, when we start, um, the goals and objectives of that, and that's where I think we've tried to, to be quite, uh, quite different.

Um, or at least take that a step further.

So, uh, we did a lot of engagement.

I'll, I'll use tribes as an example.

So what often happens in the industry is there has to be a government to government engagement with tribes, typically, if you're doing federal permitting that the, the lead agents- lead federal agency conducts.

What's that about and how is it unique?

I mean, in a sense, what was different? in the past 41 process from how things normally go? What took place that perhaps could be replicated or how was it different?

Yeah, it's ironic because a lot of the permitting challenges we've had in the U.S., Arizona has also been at the epicenter of those as well.

I mean, we have projects in the state that have been in this process for more than a decade, some even longer.

And so that's kind of the history of it.

I think, you know, permitting reform, as is being discussed in Washington, D.C., is still important.

even though we believe Fast 41 is a really effective tool.
