5:45
And so you started.
5:47
I realized I really did need my bike or my car here because the battery kept dying.
5:58
And I got tired of continually feeding it new batteries and paying for insurance for a car I would drive maybe every other month at best.
6:06
My household is now a single car household and the car is like a couple of tasks that it does regularly, but really mostly it's just bike and bus for getting around because it works well enough.
6:17
Which is crazy because I hear tons of people complain about the bus all the time, but it does the job.

7 MINS LATER

13:20
because nobody suspects you're an american coming home from whatever german grocery store you found with a 36 pack of dr pepper well they don't got them there see
13:30
i feel a little bad that i don't have that much to say about this trip um Just because it feels, it is unique that I'm doing it by bike in a certain sense.
13:45
But when it's just kind of my regular grocery run, my brain kind of turns off and I don't have that much to say other than, yeah, I'm getting groceries.
46:36
yeah i i've had students in some like podcasting classes who like intentionally just try to break my ears how can we just push mr buck to the edge of sanity all right so how did you like discover the urbanism movement and and streets.mn specifically
46:56
I pretty much think it was like that meeting with you and Jeremy because he's the one I believe also that introduced me to Move Minnesota and that's how I got involved with the actual activism part of it.
47:07
Though I think the seeds were kind of already there in that I liked biking in general.
47:12
When I went to my college town, that was like the first town I've lived in where you could feasibly walk from like where you live to a McDonald's or a gas station or something.
47:22
I enjoyed that part of it.
47:23
And then I moved here like, wow, I can I can do that with far more things to do.
47:28
So it just leaned into something I already liked, but finally gave me the opportunity to like really explore it.
47:33
yeah
