45:44
If you ever want to look at something interesting type in Scottish right temple Washington DC and you'll see like I don't know if it's like the headquarters for the the Scottish right um.
46:02
temple uh in the united states or or what but it's a crazy looking building it's it's right out of like i don't know what you would call it neo-egyptian architecture uh it's just like a very crazy looking building and there there are things like that like all over dc and and looking at that stuff just started sparking my imagination and it just started making me think about like well what if there were like powerful cults out there that were um that were involved in not only national politics, but what if you just had cults just kind of operating based upon ethnic groups? Like one of my stories deals with a Caribbean cult that's worshiping the Black Pharaoh, Narlotep, the Crawling Chaos.
46:52
And then just utilizing Lovecraftian gods as the, the servitors of these different cults, what they're serving within DC.
47:07
But then you have groups of people that occasionally come across these different cults and want to do something about it.
47:15
And that's sort of the origin of Darkness Over the Potomac.

He should have just written a pamphlet.
76:48
I feel like he was trying to hit multiple members of society, at least those parts of Russian society that could read, that were literate.
76:58
It's like, oh, you got a little bit of action maybe for the young men out there and the scientific progress might make them also kind of interested.
77:08
You've got the romance aspect, that's for women.
