So what were some of the symptoms that you experienced?
9:28
Well, I guess you could say the physical symptoms that I started to notice was I was constantly exhausted, no matter how much I rested, I felt like I had like this invisible weight over me that I just kept, you know, carrying and I was just exhausted day after day.
9:47
I remember there was this particular day that I went to the GP because I just couldn't, I couldn't keep going the way that I was going.
9:55
And I remember sitting in the GP's office and she said to me, looking at my blood test results, and she said to me, Pam, you're waterline diabetic, you are burnt out.
10:07
you are obese right so those were the three things that you could say just really set off the alarms for me I was like well like how did I get here I'm only 28 at the time how is it possible that not only did I burn out in the mental health sector I'm 28 I'm in the peak of my career how did I get here And I think a lot of women ignore the signs.
10:38
And I think that's something that I kept doing myself.
10:41
At the time, I would rely on three coffees to get through the day.
13:21
And now I'd like to also touch on, you said that if we don't address some of the deeper things, the roots that are causing us to feel like we have to perform to the point where we are going to break, you know, what are some of those things that you see coming up in your work?
