That's really inspiring.

It is.

And, and Lisa was really proud of Sam for that.

Yeah, and so that's kind of who Sam was.

She was just a person going through the stages of life that we all go through, but she was really bold and brave and adventurous.And so after college, Sam and her boyfriend at the time, really they had a great relationship.

They decided to visit Seattle, and Sam really fell in love with it.

You know, Seattle has this close proximity to lots of beautiful state parks and hiking, and it drew her in.

Yeah

Mm-hmm.

But it's really, like, what is something that we think is really interesting about this person's story or their, um, the way that they reacted to something that happened to them.

And so those kinds of questions are always top of mind when we're listening, but I think it's also, we tell them before the interview, like, "We want this to be your story.

We're gonna help guide you through telling it," because, you know, jumping around through time, "Oh, I remember this thing that happened," and we wanna be there to help them, but, and make them feel comfortable.

But, you know, we try really hard to just keep it as authentic as possible.

Yeah.

I mean, we have, you know, that's part of our drive for doing this kind of show is all manner of stories and, you know, we have people like Darune who, you know, they're on a, a morning run and something awful happens to them and they're fighting for their life.

And then there's the aftermath of that.
