What do you think in terms of the predictability of grafting these type of the root recession whenever there's an interdental attachment or tissue loss?
P

Well, first of all, I think the key point on this is how severe is your class three recession? In other words, if you have a 5 or 6 millimeter defect, you're not going to have a lot of success on that.
P

However, if you've got like 2 millimeters, and certainly some of the techniques performed by Pat Allen and Alloderm, where you undermines the papilla and can elevate the interdental tissue a millimeter or two, that he can get a higher level of root coverage.

So I would say the most important thing is the severity and then the technique in elevating the tissue.

When I first started practicing dentistry, the only suture material that I used was 3-0 silk.

So this is something that we reinforce with our patients through the initial visit as well as all the way through every periodontal maintenance visit after that.
