What would be the differences between those vials?
23:34
Well, people have looked at biomarkers in blood.
23:37
In the past, the technology was called what's called microarray or bulk RNA sequencing.
23:41
You take all the cells in the blood, you kind of match them up, you collect all the RNA, the expression from the different genes that are activated or downregulated, and then you compare them.
23:53
And from that, we have found certain biomarkers for preeclampsia or certain proteins that we know are important.
23:59
Um, but now there's more technology, including single cell sequencing, where we can look at each individual cell to tell us a little bit more about the biology.
24:07
So I think one of the first things I'd like to do is look at all the immune cells that we can collect in the blood.
27:55
Do we feel better about preeclampsia than we did five years ago? Where are we? What's the pulse of the scientific community with this condition right now?
