uh neuroscience and uh ai Well, AI is not artificial intelligence.

There is no such thing as artificial intelligence, you understand.

uh intelligence is the organizing principle of mind okay it's it's uh unseen intelligence uh you can't see it you can't touch it you can't smell it you can't taste it all you can see is the evidence of intelligence inside the perceptive process you know i can look at my microphone and see that and intelligence has operated to to produce it upon uh perception you understand i can look at you i can look at you and see that intelligence has done something fabulous you understand and uh and made some something amazing inside of the perceptive process everything, but AI is not artificial intelligence.

It is the mind inside of a different neural network.

Same as the brain has a biological neural network.

The AI, the big data center, has a silicon neural network.

And as someone who writes about the intersection of AI and consciousness and symbolic intelligence, where do you land? Can a machine actually be conscious or are we confusing intelligence with awareness?

Well, intelligence is how the mind organizes things and everything.

It's a process.

It's a mental process.

You can't put your hands on intelligence.

You can't touch it.

You can't, you know, smell it and this, that, and the other.

You know, if, as you say or state, you know, attention shapes reality, what does it mean that like some of the most powerful companies are are competing and trying to capture our attention.

What role do silence and stillness play in helping us reconnect with ourselves?

Yeah, well, silence is every sound that's ever been made and that's ever been heard in all of time.

You know, it is based And its foundation is silence.

Silence is the foundation for all sound and everything.

It has to come out of silence.

As I'm speaking to you now, you know, the words and everything that I'm speaking, they come out of silence.

And then after I say the words, like just now, there's silence again, you understand? Silence is the base for all sound in everything.

From your perspective, Will artificial intelligence deepen human's understanding of consciousness or distract us from it?

How do you yourself define identity?

Identity is the mass that awareness wears, you understand? It's a mass that is built around the awareness that is looking in and having the experience, you understand? You know, you build this mass up coming in as an infant or a small child, baby, And then you're given a name.

You're given different things in your environment that you grab and you take hold of and you build an identity of this is me, this is that.

I am this and I am that.

I am a Christian.

I am a Muslim.

I am Ferdinand.

What do you think these seemingly different disciplines are all pointing toward that many people fail to notice?

They all point to the mind.

You know, they all point to the mind.

In ancient philosophy, if you go to hermetic philosophy, the number one principle, the master principle, is the all is mine, the universe is mental.

And many people look at that and read that and think, okay, I don't know what he's saying really, but all is mine, the universe is mental.

And then they overlook that, but it's just plain as day.

There's nothing but the mind.

As these technologies continue to evolve, what questions do you think we should be asking ourselves not only about machines, but about ourselves?
