Olivia, did you feel prepared for that, or how have you grown in that area in terms of dealing with the heaviness of what you do every day?

I feel like I'm still learning and growing every day, and each case is so unique that I'll never fully have learned everything that there is to learn.

And the more that you spend time here, the more your responsibility grows, the heavier that your cases might get.

So I constantly am learning how to deal with those difficult situations, and I learn from each of the victims and witnesses that I come into contact with too.

So I feel like I have grown a lot as the type of cases that I've handled has gotten heavier, but that five years in, you know, I still have things to learn.

Any closing thoughts from you two?

I guess if you are a law student or a person considering law school, I feel like the activities and clinics I did at USD Law helped me a lot.

The classroom stuff, I mean, it's harder to learn things until you're just out doing them, and I feel like Carly probably has discovered that through the Pathways program.
