Manchester, Leeds, York, Bradford, you can get everywhere direct from Burnley Manchester Road Station.

Oliver RyanGUEST
You can get to London, and you can even get to beautiful, sunny Chorley if you go via Preston.

The station is our, is our, is our gateway, uh, to the world, and it's the world's gateway to us.

variance of reasons, some of which I've touched on, some of which we could go into if we had another hour.

Oliver RyanGUEST
I think the UK has sort of managed to... not stay clear of that because I think in Farage we've got a Trump.

Oliver RyanGUEST
But I think that the fact that we have kind of the electoral system we have, which is anachronistic in lots of ways and problematic in others, but currently it encourages politicians to reach out and create big tent two-party politics.

Oliver RyanGUEST
Whereas in systems that you have in Europe and in parts of the U.S., through kind of either the primary system or, you know, you look at kind of what's happened in France or even in Germany with a more proportional system, you do see a rise of these parties who, to get elected, only have to appeal to their base and only have to get their base out and only have to get their base angry.

Oliver RyanGUEST
And if you incentivise that sort of politics, that's the sort of politics you're going to get.
