What do you remember of this weekend last year?

Last year, um, you know, British GP was special enough, uh, and I only did FP1.

Um, you know, seeing the amount of fans in the stands for the first practice session of the weekend made me incredibly excited for this year's event.

I announced my contract at Silverstone last year.

So, you know, overall it was a very happy weekend from my side.

And I can't lie, it's been 12 months where I've been absolutely ecstatic to come to Silverstone, uh, as a fully fledged F1 driver.

Are you an emotional driver? I mean, will that extra support make any difference to the lap time?

It won't change the lap time, unfortunately, for better or for worse.

Right

... somehow.

But, um, you know, once I was sitting on that grid and I saw the green flag behind me and the lights start going on, it's like every other race, you know.

I did have that little question mark if I was gonna make it off the grid or not, but once I did, I was going for it and, and fighting as hard as I would in Formula 2 and Formula 3.

But I think the most nerve-wracking part is before the helmet goes on.

Once the helmet goes on, it's, uh, business as usual.

Again, it's a bit of a cliche, but is it taking it lap by lap?

Yeah, definitely in Jeddah.
