Who is likely to convert to MS and when? Over to you, Olga, to maybe discuss some aspects around the study.

Olga CiccarelliGUEST
So the LIM study in JAMA Neurology involves patients studied in three academic centers, as you said.

Olga CiccarelliGUEST
They divided the group of patients into a discovery cohort, which were the participants studied in Toronto, and a validation cohort which included participants studied at NIH and in Buenos Aires.

Olga CiccarelliGUEST
And these were participants who were included at the time they were diagnosed with the radiological isolated syndrome, as you explained, where this incidental finding of MRI lesions, typical for MS, and participants were followed up over time in these three centers.

Olga CiccarelliGUEST
These radiological isolated syndrome participants were studied with MRI and clinical assessment at the study entry and then followed up prospectively over time.

And there's been quite a few studies showing that these rim lesions are a marker of progression, which of course makes perfect sense.
