Other things that are being done are policies are being created.

I'm not sure if the policies are addressing the systemic gap because a lot of these policies that have been, um, passed recently are focused more on regulations and transparency.

As Yvette mentioned, that some insurance providers are, are declining services, so there was a bill that passed to address the transparency issue.

Why are you declining these mental health services? But I do wanna point out one bill that was passed recently, AB514, which expanded licenses for mental health, and it created this license called Rehabilitative Residential Mental Health Care.

So there are some things that are being done.

I think it would make more sense if it was something where it's like, this is a sponsorship where you start seeing it at many other races, not necessarily just here in Las Vegas.

That's a really good point, because the trade-off is they get marketing out of this 100 million public sponsorship.

They get more brand awareness.

OK, the casinos and the hotels are going to benefit from this exchange.

But also, the question is, why would taxpayers be okay with giving one of the wealthiest sports enterprises a subsidy? Essentially, that's what it is.

It's a subsidy.

But they call it a public sponsorship because...

I am curious, though, too, as we keep it rolling here in our Good News Friday segment for Nyoka, what's the thing that had you feeling good this week about Las Vegas?

So, Nayoka, is it as, you know, easy as kind of just showing up on a street corner with a sign? Or does it involve something more to kind of really get a protest going here?

I would say it's much deeper than just organizing a protest and saying that we're going to show up, you know, for whatever cause.

I think that the larger issue in Nevada that may not be talked about is a lack of civic education.

Nevada is ranked historically low in education overall, On top of that, when do you learn about civics? I went to school here.

I'm born and raised.

I went to CCSD.

And I learned about government as a senior.

So I wonder, Nyoka, like, is it as simple as like designating more free speech zones or how do we make our city more more open and more available for demonstrations like this to have a real measurable impact?
