... to like find, uh, yeah, find the logic behind it.

Norbert VadasGUEST
No, uh, honestly, we are in a pretty good position, I think, uh, with Zenith because the, the, the, the need for EVM compatibility for Canton existed before we started building it, because the, the polyglot Canton white paper is something that the, the digital asset team behind Canton actually put out, uh, a year and a half ago, um, as, uh, a- and they talk about the, the, the need for EVM compatibility for Canton, because most of the applications, you know, the, the programmable decentralized finance lives on the EVM side, and most of the, the, um, the, the applications have already been battle tested and, and, you know, running for years.

Norbert VadasGUEST
Um, so you have robust infrastructure, application level infrastructure there.

Norbert VadasGUEST
And I think, um, we, when talking to teams, also experience that they run into, you know, Daml has very different logic to express, um, to express application logic, so very different semantics.

Norbert VadasGUEST
And because of that, it is, um, a heavy lifting, and many of the teams that we talk to just step back and think, "Well, well, is there any way I could port my EVM application to Canton without needing to rewrite it?" Because, you know, it's time, it's cost, it's, uh, it's risk of any, any, uh, you know, bug or anything, um, um, remaining in the code.

Norbert VadasGUEST
And basically, we started, um, building this, uh, building Zenith EVM, and as we started talking to teams, um, there was huge interest, and even top-tier EVM protocols, um, are, are, uh, looking at Zenith and Canton, um, very deeply.

Um, so now we've talked a lot about the theory and, like, all of this, uh, who's actually using this? [laughs]
