But when the acute phase of treatment ended, and we started looking at these more longer-term treatment protocols that we are in, what do you think most surprised you when you kind of made that transition out of acute care into what I would call long-term management of, um, a chronic illness?
2:31
Thanks, Christine, and, and hello, everyone.
2:33
Um, it's, it's great to be back to talk about something that has obviously shifted the world for me and Christine and, and for many women who, um, have, uh, been diagnosed with, with breast cancer.
2:48
You're right, breast cancer is not, uh, um, curable at the moment, so it is still incurable, but it can be treated.

I think the biggest shock...
2:56
So to go back to your question, the biggest shock for me, um, has been the fact that I thought that once I finished, um, my active treatment, once I finished chemotherapy, once, you know, I, I, um, uh, had undergone all my surgeries, including a mastectomy, including a hysterectomy, that I will be back to my old self.

Has travel always been a part of your life? Can you tell me about where you grew up?
2:15
Yeah, I would have to say travel has very much been a part of my life from a very young age.
2:21
So if I can say that I have lived in five different countries before the age of five.
2:28
So yeah, so definitely traveling has been very much part of my life.
2:31
I am a Cham indigenous woman from Vietnam.
2:35
And after some not ethnically Vietnamese, my people are the indigenous people.
2:39
And what I guess a bit of a history lesson, what is now known as Vietnam, least essential part of Vietnam used to be called the kingdom of Champa.
