But just talk about your relationship with him and how he's helped you progress in your career.
69:55
I mean, I've told this to a lot of people.
69:57
I could go on and on about Coach D. I mean, our relationship, I'm sitting in his office right now.
70:01
But for me, that guy kind of saved my life.
70:05
And he kind of saved my career because he instilled...
70:08
I wouldn't say I lost my confidence, but he definitely reinstilled a swagger and a moxie that I may have regressed in a little bit.
70:15
And he did so with his mentality.

10 MINS LATER

79:54
Speaking of – I mean, how do you react to that?
0:32
So how do you guys, I guess, embrace that and continue to play with a chip on your shoulder? You're three now of the Brent Brennan era.
0:45
Yeah, I think it does give us a chip on our shoulder because at the end of the day, nobody really got to believe in us but us.
0:53
So I think we all as a collective, from the coaches to the players, we all know what we have, and we all know that we have a chance to do something special because of the coaches and the culture that they've instilled, the mentality that we have as players and the personnel.
1:08
So I think we have a chance to go do something that maybe the world doesn't think is possible, but at the end of the day, as long as we believe and we work for it, anything's possible.
5:56
It's definitely great, great for our team for sure.
5:59
Yeah, I think for Tay, I mean, you talk about ultimate professional.
6:03
You talk about the ultimate professional doing everything right.
6:05
We call him Mr. Redline, which is our standard.
11:42
Do you and Ted Arroyo, I mean, how much will you guys talk? Take me back to being in what? Would you play together for the first time in eighth grade? Is that right? So if I would have told two of you then, all right, here's the plan, what would you have told me?
11:56
You're right on.
11:57
We knew it.
11:58
We knew what the plan was.
12:00
I mean, we were best friends from the moment he got to the team.
12:03
We would spend every day together.
12:05
When we weren't spending time together, we'd be on FaceTime.
13:37
So how much did you know about that when you got here, and how would you kind of describe it? I don't know if you talked to Chuck Cecil
4:59
Uh, so I'm wondering, does that just go to you to have this chip to where, "I will prove everybody wrong"?
5:07
There is an edge.
5:07
There's always been an edge.
5:08
There's always been a chip on my shoulder, and my whole life it was, it was just that.
5:12
People said I was too small.
5:13
People said it was impossible for me to go do what I do.
5:15
So for me, most of my life I try to prove people wrong.

5:56
What, what makes him great?
10:47
But as you look back on that now, that decision to stay at Arizona – What went into it and how glad are you you
10:54
did? Yeah, I think what went into that decision is the same that's gone into every decision I've made.
10:58
And everything I look at is loyalty.
11:01
And I'm loyal to the people in the building.
11:03
I'm loyal to Coach Brent and Coach Deggie who gave me an opportunity and who believed in me when they could have moved on.
11:08
After a 4-8 season, you can move on.
11:09
You can go to the transfer portal and try to bring in a quarterback, but they didn't.
15:56
and i also wanted to ask you about your brother your brother's on the team now what's that been like they said that you were running late to something uh and you were just in the locker room watching his squat form like yeah yeah
2:51
What is that thing that they're leading you guys to accomplish that has never been done before? When you think about the Noah Fafita Arizona football during your time there, legacy, what is that thing? What are your goals?
3:04
Yeah, it all aligns.
3:06
Our goals, my goals, my personal goals, our team goals, what Coach Brennan and Coach Deggie are preaching and leading us towards, it all aligns.
3:14
And that's to be the first team in Arizona history to win an outright conference title in a Power Four conference.
3:20
We believe that we can win a Big 12 championship, and that's what we're working towards.
3:24
It's also to be the first team in Arizona history to ever go to a Rose Bowl.
3:29
And to do so, you have to win your conference.
6:00
And just I'd love to hear your perspective.
9:48
So, you know, I think it just goes back to the more you play, the more you practice, the more you feel comfortable in the offense and just kind of taking that next step as a mature quarterback is what I'm trying to do.
9:57
What about you, Noah? I'm right there with them.
9:59
I'm in a new scheme, so definitely learning that scheme, being able to play.
10:03
I want to be able to play more on time, less broken plays, play more in the system.
10:07
At the same time, just trying to use my experience, use the things that I've learned from the game of football, the quarterback position, and just kind of being more in control, letting my guys make plays, not so much playing out of the pocket.
11:53
Noah, what are we going with, 30? Yes, I'll
11:54
go a two-by-two concept, tight end attached to the boundary.
11:57
He would have what we call a magnet route.
