Why was it so important for you to structure it in that way?

When I started writing the book, um, it was actually about the journey.

Um, the, uh, the first idea was about the journey, but throughout the process of writing, I realized, and this is the beautiful part of, uh, of writing, and many people who journal would have experienced the same, it is something that you will discover while you're writing or while you ex- while, while you're distancing yourself from your thoughts, is that, um, what I discovered when I was writing the book, that migration is not a physical journey It is actually a journey of identity.

So the departure is about what I have left behind or what we all leave behind, so the country, the language, the certainty, the roles, the versions of ourselves.

The becoming is the messy middle, you know, like when we're, we're searching and we're reconstructing who we are.

And the return is not necessarily about, uh, the return to a place, it is about returning to yourself.

So what, what is the resilience equation? Can you explain it to us?

Um, the resilience equation is an equation I created, um, to explain, uh, my own journey and how I went through quite, uh, a few, uh, challenges in, in my life.
