absolutely
5:33
You know, like everything you teach and everything I try to do, it's all about sitting in their perspective and being as empathetic as possible to understand what their values are.
5:43
So, you know, one of my roles has been in teaching students at the Barcelona College, and I get graduates coming to me asking me whether they have a fair contract.
5:56
And so I see a little bit of what the Gen Zs are wanting, and obviously I'm painting them all with a broad brush here.
6:02
But I always start with, what is it you're wanting out of yourself as a human being in your career as a chiropractor? And then what does that mean for you in practice? So maybe if we talk about that first, one of the things that was reported in this report was that Gen Zs are increasingly choosing things like rest and emotional safety and personal autonomy and connection and community far over career success and upward mobility and getting the gains.
6:36
They basically saw, you know, Gen Xs as marrying themselves to a career and then that costing them their whole life.
6:45
And so they're realizing that's not the way to go.
7:38
yeah yeah oh cool excellent so now the other thing that we started discussing and i thought it might be good to have a bit of a chat is what's going on in spain a lot of us have heard little splinters of information hearing that it's a challenging time for spanish chiropractic and chiropractors in spain so what's what's going on
5:29
What were the things that really stood out to you?
5:30
you?Yeah, I guess I get these things come across my desk because of my nerdy side, which as you said, uh, you know, goes into the crossover between consciousness and chiropractic and what this means for the human experience.
5:42
And so, um, this, this popped up for me.
5:45
Um, it's called The Future of Wellness Report 2026, and uh, as you said, um, it's, it's there produced by the Global Wellness Summit.
5:54
Um, they've been doing these reports for 20 years, and there's a whole lot of related reports like on economics and stuff like that.
6:00
But I was really curious to, to, to see what, what do they see about the future of wellness, and what would this mean for us as chiropractors? That's, that's always my question.
6:09
Um, because in, in, as you said, in, you know, of course, we can help people with their analgesia for pain and symptoms, but we know that the deeper, more meaningful and larger scope of what we do is up towards what we may call optimization or wellness or high level of performance for people throughout their quality of life.
