We're in the middle of an awakening, a reckoning, a moment where women have realized just how long we've been silenced." Tell me about that.

That's one of my favorite parts of the book because I think that this is the time where women are really starting to come out and be a little bit more forthright in the fact that our needs aren't being addressed, and our issues aren't being addressed, and there's so much that we leave the room still wanting and still needing.

And it's not always a fault of the clinician, and so much of it is a fault of the system.

We have these short visits where we're supposed to get everything accomplished, and point blank, it's just really difficult to do that.

And I think this is the first time where we've had women that are really feeling fed up, that are really feeling frustrated with what they're receiving and saying, "This isn't enough for me." And I think about this often too.

I think about the experience that my best friends are having going through the system too, and I think that's really where we start to see change, is women are really loyal creatures.

And when we watch our friends experience something within the system, we get far more defensive than when it's ourselves.
