Can you talk us a little bit through where we've come from and where we are now?
3:56
Sure, Gary.
3:58
So, you know, historically, when we're thinking battery storage projects, we're thinking exactly that around storage.
4:03
There's been developments in relation to grid forming inverters, and we'll get to that in a moment.
4:09
But the change in the technology is allowing not just the power to be stored and used when it's going to be more suitable for the consumer, but also allows the transmission companies and many of our customers to actually inject that power back in to provide quick stability support and to strengthen the grid.
4:27
As Anna mentioned too, you know, we've got a situation in Australia at the moment where the rate at which the traditional methods for strengthening the network, such as synchronous generation, they're being replaced farm-wide with inverter-based power systems, whether they be wind or solar, and they bring in self-inherent instabilities into the grid.
4:45
Plus, we've got a bunch of new battery projects coming on.

Would that be fair, Nigel, an energy system glow-up? I'm keen for your thoughts on what Anna's just been talking through.
