So do these collaborations come to be, who comes up with the crazy idea? Do you approach brands? Do they approach you? Or does it just all happen?

Um, I mean, I think since the, the very beginning when, uh, Gene was, uh, here talking about, uh, it's all about human, uh, experiences and, and connections and, and it started like that.

It's, it's, it's very organic and it's, that's what...

I think those are the most successful collaborations is that when it's organic, and it's when it, when it's authentic.

And it started during COVID, uh, during, uh, lockdown where everybody was learning a lot about watches.

It was a great time.

And, uh, and there were two, uh, two guys talking to each other, uh, over DM, and, uh, one of them happened, uh, to be our, uh, I'll say part-time creative director.

Il avait un contact en Italie là, qui faisait des, qui faisait des ventes aux enchères.

Il a, il avait vraiment ce contact pour avoir ce maillot-là, parce que lui, il avait déjà acheté un maillot là-bas directement.

Il avait été le chercher.

C'est ça ?

No. That's why it was cool because we never did soundtracks, we never did movies [laughs] so we say, "Okay, let's go for the ride and see what happens." The style of the movie is very beautiful and it's kind of, uh, ethereal in a way.

But we started by reading the book and, um, the book is much more dark.

So very fast, the idea was to do very dark music, especially because we were coming after Moon Safari, which was a very light, uh, kind of easy listening album, and we wanted to show the dark side of usAnd also it was a good way to avoid the second album syndrome, because you can have a lot of pressure.

But if you decide that the second album is a soundtrack, it's a totally different context.

They understood that it all came down to taste.

That's what I like about drummers.

I like when they have a cool attitude.
