So Reps Are Responders is a non-profit organization.

Our mission statement is to improve the physical and emotional survivability skills of first responders and veterans so they can make good decisions on the job, but most importantly, off the job-

Right.

You're way more than that.

Like, yes, you're a husband, you're a father, you're a mom, you're a daughter, et cetera, but, like, you're also a person who cares.

You're a person who hurts.

About, you know, what... how, how are you here today? [laughs]

So we'll go back to 2014 when I initially got hired.

So I got hired 2014, um, in New Jersey.

I took the civil service exam, which is the state test basically that you take to try and get hired.

Took that exam, scored well, and boom, I feel like I get my golden ticket into law enforcement, and I started my career in corrections.
